On August 2 Thursday, a six-member delegation from All Party Parliamentary China Group paid a visit to our campus on their education inspection tour.
Headed by Sir Geoffrey Clifton-Brown, this British delegation was accompanied by their Chinese counterparts, our state officials of National People's Congress, provincial officials of People's Congress, and leaders of provincial Foreign Affairs Office.
On our campus, this delegation was received by our Party Secretary Jing Yan, School President of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Sui Jun, and Director Sun Fengxi of International Cooperation and Exchanges Office.
Upon recommendation from Cambridge Assessment, this time round, HIU was the one and only education institution in Heilongjiang Province that APPCG had visited on their research tour.
First of all, this parliamentary delegation visited our International Examination Centre, where they inquired about our progress in conducting various ongoing international exams so far.
Then, on our campus lawns, they conducted interviews with some local students of ours.
In particular, our students aired their opinions when they answered specific questions regarding their general English studies, international English exams, their study-abroad plans and destinations among other topics of education concerns during their conversations with British Members of Parliaments in the open air.
