On March 23, an inspection group from Euro College, University of Applied Sciences, Rotterdam, the Netherlands paid a visit to our School of International Hospitality Management.
On that delegation, the experts were Senior Professor Siebe Terband, Senior Consultant Mr Su Yanliang, and Mr Tjalie van de Walle, manager from its Marketing Department.
On the morning of March 24, Dutch Inspection Group listened in on our lessons: First, Culture and Oral Speech, for second year students. Then, Real Practice in Catering Management, for first year students, and in particular, Napkin Folding skills. And Dutch experts showed great interest in our learning-by-doing approach to teaching.

On the afternoon of March 24, Professor Siebe Terband delivered his keynote lecture. He explained the evolution and development history of hospitality industry; he also introduced campus culture of his university.
Listeners gained new insight into hospitality business in European countries.
After this lecture, Professor Yu Qinlin, Dean of School of Hospitality Management, had an in-depth discussion with this Expert Group. In particular, their discussion covered mutual cooperation in course offerings, professional teacher development and training, student and teacher exchanges between schools, our introduction of course books and text books into our own classrooms, among other issues of common interests.
