On March 30, our school had the honor to receive a two-person delegation from one of our sister schools in Russia--Amur State University of Humanities and Pedagogy.
The two Russian educators from ASUHP were Mr. Andrey P. Koshkin, Vice-Rector in International Affairs, and his colleague, Ms. Galina I. Gavrilova, Specialist of its Foreign Affairs Department.
In their talks with our school leaders, Mr. Koshkin explored such cooperation initiatives as "TV Bridge" and an online contest of fine arts among other topics for discussion.
Vice President Sui expressed our strong interest in further collaborations in teacher training and assigning our teachers to ASUHP to pursue doctorate studies among other areas of academic research cooperation.
Both schools have been working in close partnership since 2012 when we became sister schools. One good example is our Russian Language Expert, Dr Galina Romanovna, assigned from ASUHP to work in HIU as a great contributor to our teaching and academic research.
Next, their Road Show presentation took place in our School Theater, packed with audience.
There, the three Russian education experts hosted a Campus Student Recruitment Talk show, highlighting ASUHP with all its strengths. All listeners were our third-year Russian language majors (recruited in 2015) who showed strong interest in ASUHP.
Towards the end of their presentation, they addressed those need-to-know questions and queries from the audience. All the three presenters reiterated their sincere wish and hope that local students would pursue their Bachelor's Degree course programs as well as their Master's and PhD programs in the future.
