Our Russian Experts will be Writing Our Own Exam Prep Course Book
On March 29, in our School of Russian Language, two Russian language experts and their Vice Director, Ms. Sun Yan presided over their First Round of training sessions on text book writing.
Both experts have discovered that our current exam preparation books have left a lot to be desired: For one thing, such course books failed to provide detailed explanations for language points that turned out to be the very common weaknesses for local Chinese students. For another, such textbook writers presented their grammar points in such a way that did not cater to the learning styles and characteristics of most Chinese students.
Thus, it has become all the more necessary for us to compile an exam preparation book that is tailor made for Chinese students.
On April 6, 2018, another training session will be held for further discussions regarding specific course book writing tasks and academic research to be involved.
Our forthcoming course book is geared towards learners of Russian as a foreign language when they prepare for their language proficiency tests. These series of tests are offered on five levels: A1 and A2 at threshold level; B1 at Level One; B2 at Level Two; C1 at Level Three; and C2 at Level Four. All their tests cover five areas: grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and listening. Test scores are either pass or fail.
