Between 28 and 30 November, our school President, Prof. Liu Ying paid a visit to our sister schools in Korean upon kind invitation from Daejin University, Pai Chai University and a financial group in Korea.
On November 28, Prof. Liu visited the Korean finance group, whose council members had discussions with her on issues of education, social welfare and benefit, and charity relief and rescue.
On the same day, President Liu visited Daejin University, with whose President she reached agreement on in-depth collaborations in further expansion in student exchanges and mutual recognition of academic credentials.
During her visit in Daejin University, she paid a personal visit to Chinese exchange students from HIU studying there. She inquired about their real life issues and suggested setting up a HIU alumni association among them.
Year after year, since 2015 when Daejin University became our sister school, the numbers of exchange teachers and exchange students have been on the rise. Jointly held Korean-China Art Festivals have witnessed three annual sessions.
On November 30, on her visit to Pai Chai University, their school president recalled his fond memories when he paid his visit to HIU back in 2014. He indicated their intention to send more of their students to Harbin as exchange students. Likewise, President Liu extended her welcome to Korean students to engage in short-term and long-term exchange projects among other in-depth cooperation programs.
This Korean visit serves as an acknowledgment of previous collaborations while also laying an even more solid foundation for further in-depth cooperation.
