May 22 witnessed a signatory ceremony between China Accreditation Test for Translators and Interpreters (CATTI) and our university.
With authorisation from CATTI, our school becomes the one and only promotional centre in our province.
And just within this month of May, the first exam session of this accreditation test will be on offer on our campus.
With joint efforts, this promotional centre will be established to gradually usher in these national accreditation tests for translators and interpreters in various foreign languages, such as English, Russian, French, Spanish, German, Arabic and Japanese, coupled with their language training programmes.
The introduction and availability of qualification exams from CATTI will help boost education reforms in our university. Our five-year plan, our school aims to set up new language majors in Arabic, Portuguese and Italian; we are also exploring a few other foreign languages, such as Vietnamese and Thai.
The joint establishment of this testing and training centre aims to serve the economy of our province and Northeast Asia at large.
