HIU students from the Business Department gave up their Spring Festival vacation to work on a business plan which has been submitted to an international business plan competition. Team coach, Wang Qi, said "the students have done an excellent job, worked hard and learnt a great deal from the experience". Lara Martin, Overseas Partnerships Director, said "I am very proud of the HIU students and their excellent coach, this was their first business plan competition and they did a good job. Giving up their vacation time and working later into the night, they have really worked hard as a team on a brilliant idea".
The HIU team put together a proposal on developing a new app called "China Taste" which would help people around the world to cook their own fresh and authentic Chinese food! The app would work with suppliers and advertisers to generate an income.
