The China-Italy-Canada Culture Week, is hosted by Heilongjiang Overseas Returned Scholars Association(H.O.R.S.A.) and organized by H.I.U. under the theme of Harbin Musical Dream-Freedom and Elegance on the 7th of July. Over 3,000 foreign teachers and local students were treated to a visual feast when the large-scale Culture Show began.
The large-scale Culture Show, a combination of music and culture elements of China, Italy and Canada, raised its curtain with a chorus titled Santa Lucia. Next, Trevor Hoffman, a famous Canadian composer and pianist, played a song titled Twilight. The melody was so pure and sweet which the audience was completely absorbed.
One of the most attractive programs——Nature is speaking, performed by 8 foreign teachers, took the form of a recitation to call on people on this planet to cherish natural treasure with a love for Mother Earth.
Finally, led by DJ Li, more foreign teachers and students joined in dancing Tarantella and the Culture Show drew its curtains in the form of a thousand-people party.
This China-Italy-Canada Culture Show is not solely a renowned mass music festival; it is also a valuable performance venue for cross-culture education and experience. Meanwhile, it also reflects cultural engagement, openness and internationalism of H.I.U.
This is the fourth time that our campus has served as a performance venue for such event. Previously, our campus witnessed Sino-French, Sino-Russian and Sino-British Culture Weeks.
